The ram is pc3200 DDR SDRAM its two sticks of 512. One stick is compaq and the other is kingston. Both have same timings.

can u give me a little bit of history of wat computers they've been in, how many times they have been moved between computers, age etc.

Umm the ram has been in only one computer. The ram was in my compaq with the 3400+ there pretty much new.
