Dvd Rom

The DVD ROM on my computer plays both CD ROMS and DVD videos but when I enter a DVD ROM game it just starts to make a clicking noise, and nothing comes up in my computer to tell me that there is a disc in the DVD drive.

I was just wondering if anyone on here might know whats wrong with it.

Try the drive in a different computer, and see what happens then, it may be the drive, or it may be your computer..hard to tell if it hasnt been tested in other computers..

Thanks a lot I will try that. But how do you take a DVD ROM drive out off your computer safely and install it on another computer. Sorry about this but I dont know to much about computers.

Ok, you need to open your case on both sides, unscrew the drive, unplug the power, and IDE cable, take the drive out, and plug in the IDE cable and power cable, (while the computer is off) in the computer you will test it on..
