My southbridge chip is running at like 61C according to my temp monitor on my case. i put the temp reader inside the heatsink and it goes ^ to about 62C. what should i do? i just got my NZXT case with 3X 120mm and 1 80MM so i don't think that airflow is a problem....i never monitored the temps before so idk if it always runs this hot or not...thinking of possibly getting a aftermarket heatsink for it?

suggestions/comments appreciated(sp)

EDIT: now i'm thinking it might be the northbridge....i forgot :p same thing though pretty much

well I got a new chipset heatsink (just for fun, temps have always been fine) and the temps dropped by about 3C. Now it's running at 47C when the cpu is at 100% load.

So atleast a new heatsink didn't improve my temps much, but u could always give it a try. The new heatsink is probably just like $5 or something.

That's like £3, and that's nothing. If it doesnt work properly, you have it their for the future. It should work anyway..

Also, the case temperature readers have always proved to be unaccurate..
