Have DVD software ?

What software can I use to:

1.) Cut like 10-20 sec. clips (best of type thing) from a dvd movie.

and

2.) To take out just the sound from a dvd (ex. I like the ending music to Hunt for Red October, but it is not on the soundtrack, I want to cut out just the audio)


And is it possible to cut it directly from the DVD without putting it on the hard drive 1st?

1) i dont think u can cut clips out of dvd movies coz of the copy right thing that stops u.

2) i sometimes use Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition (Plus! Analog Recorder) to record sounds from dvds and stuff, but its not always gd sound that i get bk, prob coz of the copy right stuff.

Mediacoder can take the audio from a DVD. Would take a bit of playing around with to take the audio from a specific part of a film,but I'm sure with a bit of patience it would be possible though.

Forgot to mention it is free. Just google it.
