1 Is the Conroe's release date the 27th, in two days? Is this speculation, or is it made official?

2 Is the Conroe going to be better than the Intel Pentium D's in every way possible? I mean does it do basically everything better, making the Pentium D's obsolete?

1. If they say it, then they should. We didn't hear any problems.
2. Conroe runs on the 65nm core. And, of course, it will be better....this Core 2 DUo E6600 kicks the crap out of the AMD Athlon 64 FX-62.
