which of the following cpu's would be best for multi-tasking and playing games?

pentium M 1.73ghz

celeron M 1.60ghz

amd sempron 3400+ 1.80ghz

amd sempron 3300+ 2ghz

ya semprons suck actually...
but for games neither!
damn! 6000+ posts? i never even seen u here before!

My mother has that exact Pent M in her Laptop. I have to say I dont like it much, and I liked my friends old Sempron. Id take the 3300+

Depends which Pentium M. If its the 90nm Dothan, i would get that. The Dothan is the predecessor to the Conroe/Yonah series.

I dunno if they were made to game, but the Pentium would perform better than the other ones up there. These cpu's really weren't built with that in mind.

Well really, a laptop isn't made to game on unless you get a "gaming" laptop like an Alienware or Voodoo PC, but if I had to choose one of those to game on a laptop, it would have to be the Pentium M 1.73Ghz. Why not just get a Intel Core Duo 1.60ghz which probabley cost slightly more or the same as the Pentium M above and plus, the Core Duo is dual core, unlike the Pentium M, which is Single Core :D

Good Luck man ;)
