I need help

OK...my Sony Vaio Laptop used to be able to connect to everything...AOL Limewire...etc. Ok, but now it will only connect to Internet Explorer it won't connect to anything else...WHY!?!?!

Also, have you done a virus or spyware scan recently?

Do a virus scan and a spyware scan.

You can use the free version of AVG and Ad-Aware SE.

OK I did both of those but when trying to update my 435 day old Definitions...It wouldn't connect...sooo...LOL...Uhmm Also My Norton Virus protect is no longer working which Is why I'm starting to beleive it's a virus

is the speed to the connection for Internet Explorer fast or slow. because i had a problem similar to this where i could get online with Internet Explorer but nothing else.

like updating Adaware. i just unplugged my router and modem and booted them back up and had internet again
