Ahh Virus Bad One

try HiJackThis... it deals with registeries... youll need to post a log from it or put in on a parser website to see what you can get rid of

AHH I got rid of smithfraud. But I found the other ones that kept showing up. Drsmartload and something else. Below is the link to the screenshot to where all my stuff goes crazy.

I got another avast warning after that and it said something about Drsmartload like the thing you see on the side.

How'd you get rid of SmithFraud?

Try a virus or spyware scan in safe mode, if you can even access safe mode.

Try this:
http://usa.kaspersky.com/downloads/trial-versions.php

Kaspersky removes EVERYTHING that all the other antivirus software i've tried managed to miss. It removed winfixer (norton missed it). and it's removed a bunch of other nasty things that have gotten in. You can try the antivirus free for 30 days, try it and see if it gets rid of the virus.

kaspersky sucks. imo. it takes forever to scan and it's a pain to close. do not download the trial version of kaspersky. i had to do a system restore in order to get rid of it. one of the greatest pain in the ass softwares of all time.

I feel your pain...Right now I have a virus in my windows restore folder too... Troj/VB-ABA :( ......
The simple fact of disabling System Restore will clear your virus as all restore points will be deleted, don't forget to turn it back on after scanning.

Removal instructions

EDIT: Try this online scan ..... BitDefender ..... I find it very useful

I tried that, it didn't work.

Just disabling the restore points alone won't do it. Afterwards run all the scans in safe mode. Catches the little buggers napping.
I'm working on finding the tool for getting smitfraud out. I'll post it as soon as I can.

Here it is.

Sophos and Nod32 wont run in safe mode...

I doubt very much it is System Volume Information then, did you try the BitDefender online scan?

It is... By the way, the only AV that picked this trojan up was Sophos... Though it couldn't heal/clean/delete it.

I feel kind of bad for bringing my issues into this thread now, as it kind of feels like the attention has gone away from Feircepc. :(

Hopefully the fix you provided for him works, Seti.

The person who sent it to me is actually someone who goes on this forum. Don't think he participates much here anymore. Person who sent it wasn't a freind. A freind tried helping me fix it though.

Anyways Avast and Avg scanned and detected a bunch of them. Then they deleted all but most of them are stored in my registry so what should I do?

I believe its called Smithfraud. I got it from a link that lead to a internet window that didn't load up. Then BOOM command prompt opens and then all these codes and stuff show up and then all my virus and protection stuff goes nuts.
Hey, tell us who it was, no mod will say anything to to him, but he definitely needs exposing, then perhaps he can trace it back to someone.
