when i go off to college. i want a laptop.

but with right now them starting at like 500 dollars and being horrible i might need a desktop.

like in 4 years what will laptops be like?

No-one knows, impossible to say. People never ever ever imagined processors to go over 100Mhz, and no-one ever expected dual core processors, and people would never ever expected to get hard drives over the capacity of 5Gb!

Just save up your money or wht ever and just wait. No one knows what's gonna be out, even AMD or Inel don't probabley know, yet.
Im sure there will be cpus with 8 cores or something.

Just look, quad cores are coming out next summer.

You never know what would happen in 4 years. Heck, the LGA775 and AM2 would be classified as old stuff...maybe discontinued.
