When will Intel cut prices?

I heard some time ago, that after AMD drops prices because of Conroe coming out, Intel is going to drop their prices on all the processors exept Conroe. Does anyon know if it true? And when will this happen?

I hear the prices will go down. That link is for a Core Duo processor. Conroe is Core Duo 2.

It's Core 2 Duo, get it right.

Not sure when Intel cuts prices. I believe it's the day Core 2 Duo releases, which would be July 27, 2006. However, you might want to ask Ownage when he gets on, he's more knowledgable on Core 2 Duo's than I am.

lol personally i don't care. conroe (according to all tests) outperforms an FX62(currently best on the market) and costs less than 1/5th the price. i'm just sad i'm too poor to afford the expensive motherboards and conroe. i have to go with AM2 for now and upgrade mobo an cpu later. at least i can salvage all the other parts.

Yeah, some of the motherboards are $$$. But, they're nice. Look at the ASUS P5WDH...costs $250-ish, but it's SO nice.
