i was wondering if such a cable exists that lets you convert an rca signal, for example, from a playstation or vcr, to a vga signal, wich could plug into a vga monitor. so basicaly, im thinking that one end of the cord would be female rca jacks, and the other end would be a male vga plug. does something like this exist?

john, is this what you were talking about? http://cgi.ebay.com/RCA-OUT-ADAPTER...9QQihZ008QQcategoryZ41999QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

ok, so, my monitor has a female vga input on it, i could plug that cord into the monitor and then plug the video output from a vcr or platystation or anything with an rca output into the corresponding vga port in the cord, right? would this work? because it is sort of meant to work the opposite way, but would it still work the way im thinking?

wait are you trying to make your playstation play on your monitor? if that's the case then no that will not work, that's so that you can make your computer display on tvs
