Connection Tray Freeze

Okay, after a couple hours of my computer being on, the connection tray (I think this is the thing that handles wireless networks, etc...) freezes and my internet connection goes off. How can I solve this issue? Thanks.

Is this thing overheating? I had to test a router that would not work.5 mins later, it was off and when I touched it, it was boiling. Fry eggs on it.

No, it isn't overheating.

Could a reset do? Sometimes, my router did that and when I reseted it, it went away.

It's not a router... it's one of those mini-USB wireless adapters. It has no reset button... hence, a computer reboot works... and a replug sometimes fixes it.

Could there be anything interfering with it? I'm not a genius on Wireless, as you can see...

Possibly ZoneAlarm... which by far is the most intrusive security program I have every had to deal with.
