Older cards will be able to support the newer directx version through driver updates, so don't worry about it.
 
I'm not worried about DX10. Even my old Ti4200 can run dx9 games.. it just falls back into DX8. And for games that down right require dx9 technology, the card would be too slow anyway. I'm sure my 7600GT will play the new dx10 games decently with low-medium settings.

Yeha, just you wouldn't see the extra enhancements Direct X 10 games will give, until you actually upgrade to a Direct X 10 card in hardware.
 
Check anitec.ca the prices are garunteed less than tiger direct.
i only buy from anitec now since they have the lowest prices
