Lag Issues

Could have sworn I posted this earlier ( I kept getting errors) but lucky I had this on my clipboard!

I recently started playing Need For Speed Most Wanted on one of my PCs
The problem is, when I play. There is a 1 second lag (Its constant) If I try and move my mouse it won't respond for a second, same is for the keyboard.

My mouse and keyboard works fine outside of the game
This lag gets annoying when your trying to race....

Can anyone help me solve this problem?

What are you system stats? Try turning down the graphics quality... tell me more.. Does this happen with other games?

Other games are fine
2.8 Ghz P4
Radeon 9200
512 Ram

I played once without the 1 second lag but after that it came and never went away

Check out the keyboard, mouse sensitivity. You might need to increase it if theres lag.

with that graphics card i'd say that you need to turn down the graphical quality and it'll prolly work better, my system couldn't run NFSMW maxed out without a little lag so i'd say there's your problem.

Ok I reinstalled it, it fixed it now it plays on the same settings I played on before.
Still not sure what the problem was though.

Could've been an installation error previously.
