need everyones help

I need to get my comp to pick up the router signal and connect to it. If I dont my mom will never stop complaining. any ideas? it says the signal is close and very strong to but dosent connect to it

So it's wireless. What are you using to connect. There should be a icon on the taskbar that allows you to see all wireless networks in your area. Just double click, find your network, and connect.
