Computer problems...

Ok , I'm not sure if this is right , but I just read that all emachines have a 120 watt powersupply... Thats a huge headache for me , and then I read that they have a 'MATX'? case type so for me to get a newer powersupply would I need to get a new case too?

you don't really need 2 get a new case, but i can garantee if u actually do this it wont be much of a emachine anymore :p. you need 2 get a new powersupply 2 handle it first off. second i would recommend u get a new motherboard and processor 2geather. then a video card. :) if your not going 2 upgrade the motherboard and processor get a 6800 XT or GS. there both good cards but i recommend getting the new mobo and processor so u can get PCI-E. AGP is old technology and is already outdated if u ask me

Who said I wanted an emachine? :p but I will probably be upgrading the motherboard and Processor , I'm just not sure what I'm going to upgrade to..

mATX case type is mini ATX. these cases are smaller than standard mid-towers and therefore, they need smaller motherboards. most good motherboards available at the moment are designed for ATX cases, and are called ATX motherboards accordingly. if you want to upgrade while keeping the same case, you'll have to look for an mATX compatible motherboard. as for powersupply.. 120watt is horrible. get 500+w at the very least. motherboard processor, if you want to future proof yourself you could get an AM2 motherboard/processor, which are very reasonably priced. or if you're a performance enthusiast you could take the intel route and get an lga775 motherboard with the intel core 2 duo (conroe) processor. if you're just looking for a computer that will work i'd recommend a skt 939 processor/motherboard from AMD.

Ok , so I need a new
Video card
Processor
Motherboard
and case? So could anyone give me an estimate of how much this will be , or should I jsut break down and buy a completely different computer if so which one would you guys recommend?

If I give you some links in Newegg and give you the price, would you take the time to look on what I suggest?

Yes I will , I've been looking at things on newegg and reviewing posts all over this place and so far its helping out alot.I'm just really not to sure what to get so that would extremely help me.

Okay, stay here for another 5-10 mins more okay? I will post back the stuff, promised!

Sure thing , and if you could *try* not to make it too expensive I don't have a ton of money...I don't want it to be inexpensive if it completely kills the performance though =/
