Need switch help(cisco 2950SX)

i have a cisco catylyst 2950SX 24 port switch. i have to hook these into existing fiber cable. the problem is they are ST connectors and not MT-RJ. i have the MT-RJ to ST patch cables and Female ST Adapters. i am tryin to plug the other end of the fiber into a 3com superstack 2 hub 10 fiber hub. and i am getting no lights or activity. i have tried everything i know to do. any help would be appreciated.
