Movie Format?

Okay, well I'm going to start ripping my DVDs to my computer... but which format should I put them at? DIVX, DIVX (AVI), WMV, MP4, or H.264? I also need suggestions for a streambox to my TV.

um h.264 (which i think is the new apple format or something) keeps the best quality at a low filesize

dono, but if you want quality then thats the way to go

H.264 is offers the highest quality for the size, but DivX or AVI is the best if you're really trying to save space. The quality isn't too bad, but not as good as H.264.

Definitely use DivX AVI format... By far most compatible and absolutely great quality. That's why its the number one used format for torrents and stuff as well... DivX and xVid are the only ones you'll ever see.

if your not going to put it on anything else (ipod, psp) then use divx or avi
