Its kinda funny, how in some older scifi movies you see what appears to be a smaller computer, or in very old movies even planes flying or poeple going to the moon or even mars.
If you look at those events you can see that a lot of it is coming true. The stuff that you see on TV a few downs the road is becoming reality.
Think of it, one day the president is driving in a open top limo with no fear whatsoever of a sniper. Regradless of where this sniper is, when he fires the bullet will impact the forcesheild and become useless.

I remember first seeing this and I thought WOW, that'd be awesome to have.
I once saw a show that would take technologies from scifi shows or just regular movies like James bond or somthing their technologies are becoming real.
One such example was in a James Bond movie James dropped into water and was able to stay there for a extended period of time with a small device that he pulled out of his pocket. A military offical of the british gov called him up (producers) and asked how they ddi it. THey were told that it was just speacil affects and that it was. However it sparked a idea, and it went into development and on a show I saw they said they had a working portotype that could filter oxygen out from water that could fit in your pocket for a limited time.
Do any of you have any examples of "scifi" becoming reality.
