No.. Think about it. Look at the second numbers, the the height. 900<1024

However, it could use 1024 x 768, and I'm sure you can run Counter-Strike in a windowed mode if you were that particular about it. Or, you could just make everything look fat and deal with it.

o, damn. i didnt know if widescreen monitors with a max verical res of 900 could maybe show more vertical pixels when using a 4:3 aspect ratio resolution. i guess not.

Yeah, that monitor could give you problems. if you must have widescreen LCD, I really suggust getting one like alvino's that can do resolutions that high. (i think 1605x1200 or something)
Those can do 1280x1024 easy.

1600 x 1200 really isn't a widescreen resolution. True, it is different, but it isn't considered "widescreen". I believe the next widescreen up from 1440 x 900 is something x 1050... Can't remember though.

EDIT: It is 1680 x 1050.

o, well, thats too bad for me i guess. i just ordered the minitor like 15 minutes ago. o well. im upgrading to cs source soon anyways. it supports 1440x900, doesnt it?

it turns out to be 1680x1050, which can just barely do 1280x1024.

dude.. Counter-Strike was made around 2001, 2000. You really think there would be widescreen for computers?. Im sure there was widescreen for T.Vs but not computers.. I dont think there is away to change it. becuase the game was made to play 1280x1024 max.

Plays fine at 2048x1536.

I just went into CS:s and You can change it from normal, to two different widescreen ratios, forgot them already. But non went as high as 1440x900, I don't believe. I'm not going to screenshot all of them

Works fine for me, take a look for yourself:

You need to add it as a custom resolution. It runs in 16:10 widescreen.
