XP won't boot

i have a compaq pc! the bios isnt locked! no bios is. well the overclocking features can be locked but you can still get into the bios

Nope. The system recovery was also installed on the computer when I got it. No discs came with it.

Well then the cd's might be on another partition on the hard drive, check that and see if they are.

Ok, well download Partition Magic, im sure there is a trial somewhere, and look at all of the partitions.

If you cant find Partition Magic anywhere, I found this, http://www.freewareweb.com/cgi-bin/archive.cgi?ID=447

Install that, and you should be able to see all partitions, open the one up you havent seen before, and go from there.
