Then change the IRQ of the soundcard to another unregistered IRQ and that should take care of the issue. Whenever the hard drive is being accessed, the IRQ conflict is interfering with your soundcard because it is running that IRQ that the speakers are on. Setting your soundcard to another IRQ should solve this problem.
