I neewHelp fast! PLEASE Im FREAKING OUT!!!

Ok, Nothing look's burnt or anything Like that, but also I don't think the motherboard is shorted out because I can hear a sound coming from the computer when I shut it off... but I did find that the memory stic wasn't all the way in but I put it back and still no luck...What do you mean by I/O cards...and if the motherboard shorted out that means I will be buying a new one doesn't it...I don't know how to tell if it's DDR DDR2 on the mobo or the Hard Drive

YAY I fixed it!!!! I just checked every absolute connection I could....unplugged the memory sticks...took out the modem...took out the CPU and then unplugged the hard drive...then plugged everything else except the hard drive up...and it came on..then I plugged up the hard drive and now it is working!!! YAY...thanks for the help guys!

i use to have a similiar problem before, and came to find out it was the jumper settings on those old ide drives..lol

Weird. Must have been a lose connection somewhere.

Glad to hear I helped out. Sometimes those PCI cards will jimmy themselves out of the slot just far enough to not come up. I absolutely despise when that happens.
