graphics proformance?

i have an old comp i am slowly doing up.
the graphics card u just bought is a AGP8X and my motherboard is a AGP4X.
it does however say on the back "minimum system requirements, AGP4X"
coz i have the MINIMUM. will that effect how games are played.

mine seem jittery andi have been blaming it on the onboard graphics!
is it coz my motherboard is too old and i need a new one?

what is your specs? what cpu do you have with ram... and yes.. apg 8x if faster than 4x, also apg 4x is a slow bandwdith so games mit run alittle slower than you though!

it will work but u wont get the full potential out of it since u only have half the bandwidth but u will see a massive improvement over onboard graphics

It could be the amount of RAM you have or your CPU holding it back though.

What card was it?

having 4xagp as opposed to 8x agp wont severely hinder your performance... You will get a massive improvement over onboard. Any graphics card that is compatable with 8xAGP will run in a 4xAGP slot.
