Enough RAM?

So how's this roster:
SpyBot: Search and Destroy
SpySweeper
Nod32

Yeah... I felt the Ad-Aware was just an extra program out there, and the SpySweeper would suffice...

I would go with
WEbroot Desktop Firewall
AVG Free edition
SpyBot
Ad-Aware

and I think that you would be all set :)

This is on average.

Nod32 = 11-20 Meg ram.
Spysweeper - 20 meg ram.
Outpost - 4-10 meg ram (Can get upto 20).
Window Washer - 3 meg ram (Can get upto 15).

So all in all, not much.

I never did like Counterspy though. Ditch it.

With all these programs I have never been hacked, or had an infection... :)

I have ZoneLabs as my Firewall.

I feel that AVG will be knocked out by Nod32.

I think Ad-Aware is unnecessary in the light of SpySweeper.

Window Washer... I've seen it, but I've never known what it was...

OutPost Pro 2 was a firewall candidate of mine, but it wasn't well-known... is it as intrusive on your work as Zonelabs is? :(

Well, they have version 3.51 of Outpost now, 4 is coming out soon.

Offers the best protection as far as I'm concerned... And doesn't slow down your computer or internet as much.

Infact, I just fixed my mates computer (as in installed Outpost, Nod32, Spy Sweeper, and Window Washer, same set up as mine. :)) that was infested with Viruses and Spyware, he was using AVG Free, Zone Labs Security Suite, and Ad-Aware.

Enough said.

:p

It's not really the firewall's fault... AVG and Ad-Aware? Inadequate at best.

So how intrusive is Outpost?

Zone Labs was a whole suite though, as in offered the firewall, spyware protection, virus protection, anti-phishing... etc.

But yeah, I'll hook you up, if want my programs?

;)

No, you can just get the Firewall part...

I'm good, thanks... so comparing ZoneAlarm and OutPost Pro, which is better, less resource-consuming, and less intrusive?
