i need help bad

okay i'm having problems with my graphics card, i am currently trying to play titan quest, the reqs are 512 ram, intel pentium 4 1.8ghz, a 64 mb geforce 3 or better ati 8500 or better,5 gigs free hard drive

i have 1.0 gb of ram, 2.0 ghz and a ati mobility radeon x300 on my laptop, and more than 50 gigs free on hard drive , because the x300 is hyper memory i have no clue where it measures up to a ati 8500, is there any drivers or updates that will allow me to play this game? because i just bought this laptop. My screen Name is mad Ko rea man on aim. please help

check ATI website, Hyper memory is bad. But it should still game? i dont know anything about that game but it dont seam to take alot of what is the problem than?

when i try to boot up the game , it says failed to initate graphics engine... that is bad lol. that is what's stopping me, i cna't even get into the game.
