Uhm, ** **** .exe's don't work in Linux, that's a windows executable. Linux has it's own filesystem (opensource ftw). However, with programs like wine (not an emultor, it's simply a windows API on top of *nix) and cedega for games (you have to pay usually, but most people..uh, torrent ), it's not that big of a deal. However, I do prefer to have a windows computer for gaming and two linux boxe's for my server's and other desktop.
But as far as networking.. I'd say unless you're referring to Windows server 2003 (which has it's own problems), Linux is far better.
