GEForce 6800 GS fan issues

rofl, yea joxley the 6800GS OWNS ^_^

when i ran the CS:S video stress test it went ^ 2 53C and the fan was running at 57% i believe, it might have been 40 at the lowest i don't want 2 be playing games alot and it overheat so i have the performance 3d setting to 50, which is what it was origionally at

It'l be a nice step from a FX5500, I have been told several times, I mean, the 5500 can't handle CS on low settings, so to be able to evan play CS, on any settings, will be nice!

wow thats weird.... my downstairs computer has a 5200FX and it runs counter strike pretty nicely...

same my friends has a 5200 and runs cs no prob....must be some other issue

Just make sure you have the latest drivers for your cards. They tend to have fixes to fix games and make them run faster.

To: Mooseman, gaming_freak, and Kage - it's the really crappy version, by phenoix, 128mb, it can handle it, but I get lag quite alot of the time, this new 6800GS, and 2GB RAM should top it off..

Your CPU won't really matter with a budget high end card, so I expect you'd get the same type of benchmark scores (except for CPU scores), though in true world tests, you'd probably get about the same FPS.

Its not bad really. Definietly faster than the one you had
