Which company do you use Xiggy?

I use Freedom 2 Surf at the moment - 2MB broadband, but if I could be bothered to upgrade I'd get 4.5MB.

Moving to BT soon

um we pay 40 dollars a month for our 100mb/s connection...and its constantly on so no connecting etc.

This is the speed you are connecting to the modem, not the internet.

I have a 5 MEG connection (Sympatico) and our family pays 31$ a month for it due to employee discount.

However I am not getting much over 3.5 meg

Wow. Sympatico offers 5megs? (through bell, right).

Sympatico Dialup, I have (through bell / aliant) at 28.8k

you can get high speed bell too, because it also goes through your phone line...

I Just upgraded from 2.0mb/s to 3.0mb/s for free from verizon not too long ago. Last time I tested it I had 2.8mb/s and i can tell the diffrence in downloads, but not that much at all browsing. My family pays $20.00 a month for it.
