You'd think so...

But, I've seen programs running along side before.
Norton was before that ran out, along side AVG.

Hmm, maybe... but why would you really need two antivirus programs anyway?
 
Yeah, I have heard alot of issues with that program.

As for why I'd want them to run along side:

Well, I wouldn't want to remove AVG without knowing first that Avast can (for myself, not from other reviews) work better than AVG. If it doesn't, I know I don't need it, so can get rid.

Oh, okay, I understand now. :) Why not just disable AVG for a second to test Avast and then enable AVG again if you find it better.
