i know theres a program called kill disk, but that formats you hard drive 35 times with 0's. but i remember there was a program that only deleted certain files. i really need this program rite now. and no, its not for hiding porn. i had to something for my mom yesterday and has alot of personal info so i wanna delete that stuff permenantly...

To my knowledge... yep, Spybot Search and Destroy (spyware remover), has a built in Secure Shredder that does that for you.

Just drop files into it, say go, and it wipes them completly. You can tell how many times to shred it with random data.

It also has templates for deleting internet data automatically.

Its within Tools when you load up the program:

Hope this helps :)

Yeah, haha, I found it rather recently and all. I was just routing through.

Its a very good program all round :D

I also use that Tea Timer all the time for registry changes. It gets a tad bit annoying though, as you can't stop it displaying pop ups whent he computer first starts up, as I get some shooting up the screen like you would with MSN if about 6 people came on at once.

They go though after about 4 seconds or so, and I know the programs doing good.

Lol that tea timer always confused me.

Now im actually looking through the program rather then just scanning. Its pretty nice, really involved if you know what I mean.

Yeah, it is pretty kewl.

Yeah the Tea Timers pretty funny at times, but it would stop registry changes that could happen randomly if a site for example installed something to your Internet Browser, or if a virus tried to change your registry. It'd tell you what was trying to change it, and if you should allow it or not.

Its best to turn this off when installing a program though, as its always asking about startup/shortcut changes, etc, which I guess could mess up the program if not told to Allow rather quickly.

Oh yeah, I think I did something like this before. I had a problem though.. It was that there would be a box that appeared, and it had two boxes in it that I could click, like accept, or cancel or whatever, anyways, the box was too small, so I couldnt see the destination and I could only click the top two buttons. So I stopped using it.

Weird...

By the way, with Spybot, make sure your updated to the latest version from the site.

The program's update feature doesn't tell you this, and it turns out, some updates dont work with the older version anymore, even though it updates sucessfully.

I found this out, after I updated to the new version, and not long after a previous scan, alot more spyware was found that wasn't there previously, and its not spybot :p

Whats the newest, because I currently have 1.4

BTW, im going to make a thread, so check it out in a few minutes.
