hi, i'm planning on purchasing a laptop for college, and i'm hoping to choose high-end specs that are upgradeable. My question is: Would a laptop with the following upgraded features consume batter power faster than a laptop with the standard base-line features if both laptops execute the same exact actions?

Upgraded vs. Standard
1.) 2.16 ghz (t2600) vs. 1.83 ghz (T2400) pentium duo cores
2.) 2 GB RAM vs. 1 GB RAM
3.) 7200 rpm hdd vs. 5400 rpm hdd
4.) 512 mb Nvidia Quadro nvs 120m vs. 256 mb Nvidia Quadro nvs 110m graphics card
5.) WXGA (1280x800) vs. WUXGA(1900x1200) LCD screen

The upgraded parts, rule of thumb, will take more power, even if both sets of parts execute the same actions. It's a matter of how much power the upgrades consume to keep up with the added performance.

so which of those types of upgrades would consume relatively more power at a faster rate than the other types of upgrades? i'm guessing the video card would be most and the ram the least?
