Dude, I had the same problem. Download Xfire, and get some friends (assuming you have some) and join their games, and add those servers to your favorites list in xfire. Thats what I had to do for the longest time, untill my ISP decided to unblock the ports that the CSS server page thing used.

CS Source is really cool.

When I don't feel like playing multiplayer, I play single player with BOTs and mess around with the console, like physics and everything.
