Page views. (very important!)

Hi! I found this site and knew exactly what question I had to ask.

Page views.

I am wondering if I link to a .jpg, does that give me a page view? Like I mean a page view as in www.alexa.com would count it. Or would I have to make every image I put on my website that I want linked to seperately, be a .html?

If you'd like to see what I mean, go to www.burnttoastonline.com and navigate to the picture section and choose a picture category. I want to put in my MapleStory screenshots next, but it would be so much simpler if I could just copy and paste the folder into my server!

I'm sorry i don't really know Are you referring to a page view from a counter script? If so, no it won't unless the script is placed in the HTML on that page.

It wouldn't take very long, would it? Just insert the <img src="whatever"> tags and your done.

There's 200 images to make .html's for.

Some guy on another forum said page views don't really matter, but more of the unique visitors, and how long they stay.
