Geforce 6800 GS VS Geforce 7600 GT

With the price drop on AMD chips (which I believe will still be better for gaming over the Conroe) I was thinking about going with a 6800gs over the 7600 gt. So the question is, which one is better, and would there really be a huge difference between the 68 and 76?

7600GT is by far better than a 6800GS.

Yeah, go with the 7600gt. It's an overall better product compared to the 6800gs.

well then let me ask this, is there a better product then the 7600gt for 200 or less?

Go with the ATI Radeon x850xt. Got 16 pipelines, and it uses 256 mb of 256bit ddr3 ram. Plus, its about like $140 after rebate. Just make sure you have enough cooling power, because from the reviews I'm reading say this thing gets really hot. However, if you get ATI tools, you should be able to monitor the gpu temps, as well as the fan speeds, because its kind of noisy.

You could just get the 7800GT, better in all aspects then the 7600 or the ATi.

If a 7800GT is available for less than 200 dollars, then by all means get that card, as it is easily better than any of the cards above.

X850XTPE is going. If you really want ATi, go for a X1800XL and flash it to a XT. See this thread for more details: http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=463297

Im a little scared to jump on that X1800 because it is such a good deal, and being the noob I am I have to ask if my Athlon X2 3800+ could keep up with that thing.
