Total: $490 (forgot about harddrive lol)

so this machine could easily play med graphics on bf2...maxed out rainbow six...maxed out bf1942...maxed out hl2 etc... so what do u think?? also if u had 450-500 dollars and only needed internals what would u get??? thx

i would get a 7600gt instead of that 6800xt, the evga 7600gt is on sale right now on newegg i think.
and wow, i didn't know the 3200+ was only 100 dollars now. that's great.

yeh i know the 3200+ is a great stable processor and should keep up with games fine...plus when socket 939 gets even more out of the way dual cores will become cheaper :)...also i was looking at the 6800xt for its 512mb but i remember that the 7600gt will still beat it...also should i spend 12 more dollars and get a 3500+...i would get a bigger multiplyer which would be good..or just stay wit 3200+?..thx :)

also yeh i saw the 7600gt for 170 so ill get that instead :) thx

That system would be very good after you updated :)

As for me, i'd spend the money mostly on cooling of the parts, while giving silent operation.

I'd also probably update my sound card to allow for a Dolby Pro Logic 2 decoder, and couldn't forget the Logitech 5.1 speaker set :D

If I still had money, I'd probably go for dual core, and maybe up my RAM to 2GB.

I wouldn't bother updating my video card at this point in time. It'd be more spent on silentness/making my usage more enjoyable, since I don't play games all that much.

Its not too cheap though. That seems like a rather good motherboard.

You'll be surprised nowadays how cheap they've got but still offer great performance for 2 hours ago's technology (Can't say yesterdays, because its not :p)

Ah...didn't notice the Micro ATX part...

You could always overclock the CPU, and get a 3000+ instead, spending a bit more on a full size ATX board.

The 3000+ could probably be overclocked to 3200+ rather easily I'd say without too much hassle.
