NIC card

open up your machine, and remove one of the blanking plates for a spare pci slot (they're white) on the back; is should just be one screw. Then, put the network card into the slot, rocking it in gently. When it's home, use the screw that was holding the blanking plate in to secure the card. Power up, and windows will probably have a driver for the card anyway, then you'll be up and running. Failing that, put in the driver cd that came with the card and windows will search for the drivers from the cd. job done.

Well you cant download any old drivers for any card, doesnt work like that Im afraid.

Go into Device Manager, and check which make and model it is.
