AMD2 vs AMD

Uh, AM2 is a new socket for processors designed by AMD. The two major chip makers are Intel and AMD. Just search on newegg.com, and you should get some hits.

IBM I believe does its own line, but they aren't worth mentioning, most of us won't have an IBM cpu they are mainly for the server industry.

Motorolla is pretty big. Until MAC went to Intel processors, they used Motorolla processors. Also, VIA is another manufacturer and is known for their ability to run without a heatsink... Lhuser! :D

What are the differences?

And can anyone link any AMD2 boards?
Just a new socket and the jump to DD2 for AMD i think AM2 will be the step towards AMD's next gen processors
