Hi,
My internet explorer has been acting up lately. Whenever i run IE, it starts with add-ons disabled and i don't know how to enable them. It wont even let my click on manage add-ons in tools. Ive been using IE 7 beta for a while and it just happened out of nowhere. I also use Mozilla, and it's way better, but some sites i go to require IE. Hope im in the right section. Thanks in advance.

Well,

As for the add-ons, I'm not sure as I havent used IE for ages.

But with how you need IE to use some sites (Winodws Update being one) and using Mozilla. You could download an IE tab plug-in which will allow you to view IE dependent sites through Mozilla.

from here: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/

thnx, ive seen IE tab plug in before but it never dawned on me that it was for that. Ill go get that. i hate having to use IE, thanks for pointing that out to me.

by the way, how do u uninstall IE?

control panel ->add or remove programs-> remove IE 7 beta

and yeah thanks for pointing out that IE tab, i never knew it was there, it helps alot.

I suppose actually you can.

Boot into safe mode, and you can delete the folder in the porgram files. I dont reccomend you do that tho.

Um first I guess try and repair IE7
Reinstall IE7 if that dont work um
then try and uninstall it VIA ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS in Control panel
thehn install IE 6
idk if that will work but you can try

ok, thnx. i didnt know if there was a way to get rid of IE altogether, but i guess there is no easy way, and its not that big of a deal.

You cant get rid of IE. Its intigrated with the system.
No, but you can remove the Internet Explorer v7 and downgrade it to v6. I did that when I was getting an error every time I closed IE7. ;)

Edit: For an alternative to Internet Explorer, try http://www.avantbrowser.com . It works on all IE sites, but has tabbed browsing and ad blocking and many more features. :)
