Laptop Hard Drive Upgrate Question

I have a Dell Latitude 1.8ghz, 40G hard drive, 512mb ram. I dont have a lot of experience with laptops, so i thought i'd ask here.

If i upgrated to a 100gb hard drive, would my computer slow down al all?

depends on the rpm, if u get a 7200rpm drive u'll probably see a huge improvement over what u have now

Definitly,what he said if you get a new 100gb hdd get nothing under 7200 rpm it will increase speed
