what i dotn understand is that everyone says newegg's shipping rocks, no newegg doesnt have shippping, UPS does, UPS own all...like du u know what i am saying

What they mean is that Newegg processes the orders and gets them to the UPS like no other. I think processing is same day.

ya. that used to bug me too. i think arrizX is right. i think they mean that newEgg processes the order very quickly, within hours. and they have a nice little integration of ups package tracking into their site. it's just an all-around good experience.

Newegg is kinda blind IMHO. If I was leading them i'd see my success, i'd be like OK WE GO TO CANANDA AND EUROPE NOW! Theres been a demand for it for a WHILE. I've even talked to Newegg reps about it. I think its idiotic that they havne't tapped it yet. And yes Euroepeans after get RIPPED because of lack of true competition. My HD I bought off newegg here is 40% more! And then its a refurbished one at that.

Hmm, I don't think it's the lack of competition thats the cause of high prices. There's plenty of competition in the PC components market, you have ebuyer, dabs, Aira, maplins, micro direct, scan etc etc etc. Europe as a whole is a High Tax Economy, thats where the high prices come from. More socialist compared to the US.

More competition is always welcome, so this is good news for us Europeans, I really don't want to ruin my loyalty to ebuyer though..........

Yes 16% or even 20% higher prices ACCEPTABLE. Now 40 or 50 or 60 which a lot of times it is.

It is mostly around 20%, Newegg Athlon 64 x2 4800 is £342.97 once converted from $'s. Ebuyers is £427. 24% in that case. The benifits of the higher tax is worth it.
