Oh man, this is HUGE news for you people in European and Asian countries:

"After dominant success in the US, Newegg is looking to expand.

Newegg is one of the most popular retailers online. In fact, it is arguably the most visited hardware sales website for enthusiasts, gamers and casual users alike. Since its inception, Newegg has gained tremendous support from both customers, vendors and partners. Mostly however, many of the products that Newegg sells are from American companies -- overseas Taiwanese and European companies however, are a different story.

It was reported that Newegg had hashed out a plan on getting more Taiwanese companies to start moving products through Newegg's online website. The number of recognizable Taiwanese brands is growing significantly on a daily basis and the demand for them continually increases. It only makes perfect sense for Newegg to want to give supply to demand. This time around, reports indicate that Newegg is showing a strong interest in the European market -- and not just to carry products, but to actually open its sales doors to Europe and Asia.

Newegg.com anticipates its worldwide sales will grow 30% to US$1.7 billion in 2006, up from an estimate of NT$1.3 billion in 2005. Every day, the online retailer generates US$5-7 million in sales, with about 550,000 visitors to its website on average every day.

European consumers have long wondered if Newegg would ever open its web business to more than just North American customers. Analysts have speculated that Newegg would be heading to European and Asian markets sometime in the future. In fact, there was some reports that Newegg would acquire European powerseller Dabs.com. Although an acquisition never occurred, a Newegg executive said that such an acquisition "would make sense". After becoming one of the most popular PC enthusiast stores in the US, analysts believe that perhaps now is the right time to begin to expanding. Newegg cleared over $1B USD in worldwide sales in 2005."

Yes. Smart move on Newegg's part. DOn't know exactly when this will take place, but apparently, they are talking. There should be a market for Canada too, but I haven't heard anything about that yet. Newegg is too good. Let's just hope they don't skimp on customer service and raise to higher price in the long run.

Well, That's good news for a large number of our members here at CF

Wonder how long until they will make one in australia

Actually, that article is a bit misleading. Newegg "may" open doors to other countries and at the same time, get more suppliers and vendors from overseas. I'm sure they will, otherwise they'll be missing a great opportunity to become the top company for computer sales.

It's a good move. It might take a while for Newegg Europe to setup, but the cash they'll be bringing in will make it all worth it. :D Now they just have to include Canada. :p

Newegg expanding to Cananda would hardly be a hard move. All they have to do is ship the shit there. OMG Newegg is moving to Europe :) its a huge unapped market they will enjoy :)
