It's more expensive because it has TWO 7800 GT cores on one PCB, which is more expensive to manufacture due to space restraints. The 7950 is cheaper because it has TWO PCB boards instead of two cores on one PCB. Get it? You can't just compare it because of performance, it doesn't always work that way.

ya well, it takes up two slots just like the 7950...nothing special here.

Yeah, well each core is a seperate video card with it's own VGA and DVI port, that's why they make it dual-slot. The cooler also needs to be dual-slot because of the heat it deals with. That one cooler has to handle the TWO G70 cores and 8 chips of GDDR3 RAM underneath there.
