NVIDIA or ATI?

I beleive that Nvidia are better for gaming like games such as HL2 or FEAR. ATI are better for graphics work and open GL games like Doom 3. For games I would go with Nvidea, For other stuff like graphics design or heavy card use I would go ATI.
It all depends on what your doing.....
and it also counts with price, most of the time Nvidia are cheaper than ATI, for example the 9800SE 256MB card or the early X series cards are anywhere from $250 to $400
The Nvidia 7000 256MB series cards which have the same ammount of power - or the closest too it - run from anywhere from $190-$300 depending if you get the "remake" (like MSI or PNY for example), which are the same card just produced by a different name, or where you get it. But it's all your preff.
