I just put together my first build, and I encountered a problem along the way. I have the Asus A8N-SLI Premium, and I had everything put together, but it wouldnt post. I found out it was the RAM that was the problem. I was using 1gb Corsair value ram. In the manual, it says that the board is compatible with this type of RAM, but for some reason it didnt work. Right now Im using my friends 512 stick (not sure what kind). So when I replace my 1gb stick, what should I get to make sure it works? What kind of RAM has worked for you guys with this mobo? Thanks.

I haven't worked with that particular board, but I have a preference for crucial memory. Anytime I've struggled with a board posting with other brands of memory, I throw in a crucial and it never fails to boot. They're usually the more expensive modules, but when I buy them, I'm 99.9% confident they're going to work in the board I install them in.

What speed of ram are you wanting to work with?
