LCD TV - Response times

I am thinking about buying a new TV in about the 37 to 40 inch range.

But I am torn between getting a Plasma or an LCD.

Do the current generation of LCD TVs have response times fast enough to eliminate any concerns regarding drag, streaking, or distortion during fast action sequences ?

I have looked at some LCDs in the show rooms and some (particularily a Toshiba model I saw) have great resolution but I am wondering if this great resolution is going to be there during high speed events.

I too have been looking into this, I found that plasmas have bigger screen sizes but lcs typically have larger resolutions (for the same price). Check out www.widescreengaming.com they are quite helpful

You are best asking the people in the shop, or a specialist.

avoid plasma at all costs, their refresh rates are appauling, fuzzy not sharp - still images induce tube damage more than lcd pixel damage and crt electron sheild damage, go for lcd.
