having sound problems with my Aopen 1606/arr DvD burner

having sound problems with my Aopen 1608 ARR DvD burner

fixed title from 1606 to 1608arr.

the problem exactly is sound related. When i try to play dvd's there isn't any sound!

I don't recieve any error notices and in the properties it says all devices and codecs etc. are working properly.

Cd's work just fine, sound and all.

And i use windows media player 11 beta.



Any suggestions?

anybody know what i could do?

i've checked all sound levels, so that's not the problem.




has anybody else had this problem playing dvd's from their players? or am i the only one?

CAN ANYBODY EVEN REPLY? ANY SORT OF SUGGESTION? PLEASE.

as you can see i'm quite desperate, it's such a rediculously annoying problem and i have not yet even heard of a solution, or thought of one (or else i wouldn't be here).
