First off, my apologies if I posted in the wrong forum.
A few days ago, I was hit by a virus. It was destroyed, but it left a file on my computer called owned.bat that opened up upon startup, instead of the normal windows explorer.
I deleted this, and fixed everything.
However, everytime I start firefox now, a popup advertizement (ad.firstadsolutions.com/random letters and numbers) comes up about 2 - 5 seconds after startup, and it's becoming increasingly annoying.
Sadly enough, my Antispyware AND Anti-Virus program can NOT detect what is causing this.
Is there any way to track down what is causing it, and eliminate it?
