My Mouse Lags Games

when i play a game (counter-strike:source, garry's mod, etc.) it works fine until i move my mouse, it lags and i have to fix it by hitting connect on my wireless mouse but it lasts about 10 seconds then goes back to lagging. i tried using my wired mouse and i had the same problem, what do i do to fix this?

yeah sorry about that, i accidentally hit send and then i hit stop, but i will try updating my drivers

i updated the software/drivers and it still is lagging

Is it a USB/PS2 mouse?

The fact that you've tried another mouse and its done the same things a bit strange.

By any chance can you use System Restore to go back to when it was working? Maybe something weird has messed up.

yea ill try a system restore, i have a ps/2 mouse (both the wired and wireless)
will i lose files if i do a system restore?

Nope, you wouldn't lose any files.

You might lose settings you've changed though, but I'm not entirely sure you even lose them.

It won't do any hardm. Just don't go back too far. Go to the most recent thats maybe a month or less from now.

If it doesn't work, it simply goes back to the old one anyway, and you can restore back to that if it doesn't work right yourself. Just make a new one before you do anything.
