i know a bit of flash, so why dont I try making a flash webpage. just wanted to know, but which "new document" do i choose to make a webpage?

you could use Microsoft Visual Web Developer Express (free)

Though it is a good program, it is not used for html. You can use html, but this software is designed for ASP

You could try Dreamweaver... They offer a free trial, and it supports xml, html, shtml, php, CSS, dhtml etc...
